Claremorris Kitchen

Inspired Designs / Claremorris Kitchen

Client brief

To design and manufacture a bespoke kitchen that would incorporate a dresser style unit, larders and a unique island.

Challenges

The area to locate the kitchen needed to accommodate both the kitchen, Island and allow for a large dining table.

Bespoke approach

A number of different layouts and ideas were teased out before the final layout was decided upon. The solid oak teardrop on the island helped to break up the symmetry and allows for an easier flow from one area to another. A large double pantry made in Oak gives ample storage, with integrated fridge and freezer. The dresser style glass display units towards the end of the large cabinets helps to bring the kitchen into the dining area. A window seat with a solid oak top finished in the same Hardwick white as the island helps to tie the design together. Solid oak mantle as part of the extractor surround helps to bring the oak elements of the Teardrop, Window seat and larder together and also gives a warmer feel to the kitchen.

Time frame

2 week instillation

Finishing Touches

Farrow and Ball Cornforth white on the main units, with Hardwick white on the Island and window seat. Solid white oak top on window seat and tear drop. Silestone Blanco Maple worksurface.

Testimonial

Because Inspired Designs give expert design advise from the initial concept stage and give the client options prior to building work starting when all design queries can be ironed out and they know exactly what they are getting. This in return gives the client confidence as to the visual of the finished product and most importantly a sense of the final space that is delivered when all the units are installed.

As with every kitchen installation there is always a ‘challenge’. Our favorite part of the process was the design of the island unit. This was a particular design as we wanted a ‘teardrop’ effect as part of the island. This was created out of white oak timber and the balance of the unit was in quartz giving a great combination. In addition to this we had a different colour on the doors to the kitchen units which was also a challenge to get the perfect colour scheme. Inspired Designs developed this idea with us and delivered it to a very high specification.

Inspired Designs produce very high quality work and a first class service in terms of initial concept right through to delivery. They also are excellent in liaison with the client right through the project on initial design, manufacture, delivery and installation.
