Client brief
To design and manufacture a solid oak painted kitchen.
Challenges
There were a number of constraints and challenges on this project. The room contained a number of raised ceiling features which resulted in varying ceiling heights. We designed the extractor surround to go to the ceiling to help accentuate these features. The client had also chosen a tile pattern that consisted
of 3 different shades of grey. We needed to carefully chose a colour that would work well with these
Bespoke approach
After the initial consultation and layouts were decided upon, a number of painted samples were brought to site to aid in the selection of colours.
Cornforth white was chosen for the main kitchen wall and floor units with the Island finished in Duck egg blue to match some existing internal joinery.
Time frame
4-6 weeks from initial meeting to completion.
Finishing Touches
Solid White oak doors finished in PU lacquer. Doors are lacquered in Farrow and Ball Cornforth white, and Island doors are finished in Colour Trend Duck egg blue. Work surface is a Silestone Coral Clay with Solid white Oak on the Island top.
